Enchantment: Black and White in Venice

'Was Venice in 2017 really such a magical place for me? It seems so because it was there that I became a photographer. I roamed the narrow streets responding the the tasks Michael set and, in doing so, rejoiced in the ever-reflecting light from the water, the thrill of coming upon the illumination from a single street lamp in the dark, the unexpected around every corner. I loved the workshop. We worked in pairs, exploring the city, not as tourists but as observers, waiting for those moments when something special was happening. Venice is an amazing city. Add Michael’s magic and there will be many of those moments.'

..Ruth Dunsby, artist, poet and photographer, UK

Become enchanted in the City of pure enchantment. Your photographic images will peel back time, unfolding the history of this fantastic masterpiece built upon a scrap of sand, and loosen the constraints of your imagination.

All your  senses will be reawakened as you drift in and out of dreams, crossing the canals and getting lost amongst the maze of narrow streets; a truly magical experience during the period of Imbolc, the Celtic festival of the return of the light.
