It was 1979 and I’d arrived in San Francisco on Fulbright scholarship.
I’d been working as a photographer in Uk with a new colour printing technique which I intended to continue with in the States; but alas, nowhere could I find the particular product, and worse that no one was working in any medium except back and white.
